Jasper

Country of Origin

The name Jasper means "spotted or speckled stone," and is derived via Old French jaspre. This stone is an aggregate of microgranular quartz and/or cryptocrystalline chalcedony, and other minerals. It is an opaque, usually red, yellow, brown, green and even white with black lines in color. The common red color is due to iron inclusions. It comes in many, many different patterns and colores as you can see in some of our items.
