Description
This hand-carved museum piece is magnificent. This God of Wealth, notice the old Chinese money currency in his hands, was masterfully carved in China around 1940 from a single beautiful piece of Brazilian Rose Quartz. It would be very difficult, if not impossible, to even find a high-quality, solid piece of Rose Quartz that size today. This magnificent carving was first sold to a customer in Europe and then bought by a family in Miami, Florida around 1970. It was then bought at an estate auction in Miami in January of 2014. MSC purchased it shortly after that.
