A centurion was a type of soldier in the Roman army responsible for the command of a century, or one hundred, men. This item is a beautiful piece of Amethyst finely carved and polished to a very smooth finish. You will constantly want to pick it up, look at it and feel the smoothness of the polished stone. The pictures here really don't do it justice. It's very hard to take photos of such a beautiful amethyst carving.
